Getting Around Yakushima

Today I've hired a car to get around Yakushima. Yakushima is mostly rugged forested mountains and the speed limits on the island are 40 kmh in towns and 50 kmh elsewhere. The is a fair amount of wild life on the island and I saw quite a few live Yakuzaru,the local versions Japanese Macaque monkey. My car's navigation system complained bitterly every time I braked heavily when it looked like they might run in front of me. I guess she thought that either it wasn't safe for me to brake like that or it wasn't economical - she spoke to quickly for me to understand exactly what she was complaining about. Still haven't figured out however car could display a view from above the car when I was reversing either.
