Ishigaki
Ishigaki is the business and transport hub for the Yaeyama Islands. The Yaeyama Islands cover both the most western inhabited point and the most southern inhabited point of Japan.
Ishigaki kind of reminds me of Bundaberg in Queensland although much more Japanese obviously. A lot of sugarcane is grown here and is very tropical as these photos taken from the bus to my hotel shows.
