Yakusugi

Yakusugi is a type of cedar that only grows on Yakushima, an island south of Kagoshima. There is a slice of a Yakusugi at Kagoshima's main train station,  Kagoshima-chuo station, which is said to be 2000 years old (the oldest known tree on Yakushima is said to be around 6000 years old)
